Rhosneigr is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and the rocks investigated in the video clip for this

locality are of Ordovician age.  These rocks are interbedded mudstones and sandstones that were folded

during the Caledonian orogeny.  Cleavage developed in these rocks during folding.  The gallery illustrates the

rock types and structures at this locality.
